Frequently asked questions
Q1. How Much Hair Do I Need?
A : One bundle is not enough for a full head of hair! For average head size, we recommend:
12"-18": 3 bundles or more depending on the style you want
22"-28": 4 bundles or more depending on the style you want - if you want a lot of hair at maximum length you might want to buy 5 bundles. 4 bundles will give you a full head of hair
Q2. What type of hair care products should I use?
A : Treat this hair just as if it was your own hair.
1, Use good quality 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. It's important to keep the hair soft and shiny.
2, You can use gel or spray styling products to keep the hairstyle.
3, Olive oil is a good choice to keep the hair healthy.
Q3. How do I minimise tangling?
A: Tangling is caused by dry unconditioned hair that has not been combed regularly. Please wash & condition your hair at least once a week. Comb the hair from time to time. You could go to your stylist for further suggestions and help.
Q4. How long does it last?
A : How long the hair lasts depends on how you maintain it. Treat it like your own hair and take very good care of it, and it could last more than a year.
Q5: Can the hair be straightened or curled?
A: Yes you can use hair straighteners or hair curlers to style the hair. However, don't do it too frequently, or the heat will make the hair easily get dry and tangled as it does not receive natural proteins like your own growing hair.
Q6: Can I dye/colour the hair?
A: Yes. The hair can be coloured, highlighted or lightened. We highly recommend having your hairdresser dye the hair. Colouring by yourself will involve a risk of it not coming out the shade you want. If you can't get to a salon, please always use a good quality product and test a small sample first.
Q7: What is Remy and what is Virgin hair?
A: It is a common misconception that Remy is a brand name applied to some hair extensions. In fact, the term Remy is used to describe extensions where all the hair cuticles are lined up and pointed in the same direction - roots at the top and ends at the bottom - just like your natural hair is already. This should mean the hair is less liable to matting and tangling and the hair should be silky soft. Virgin hair is hair that hasn't been coloured or processed in any way, but it will have been washed and lightly conditioned, just like you would treat your own hair. Virgin hair is collected by tying off the hair to maintain the direction of the cuticle and then cut. After the hair is cut and collected it can be sewn on a weft, pre-bonded, made into wigs or left in bulk form.
